Our clinical results has shown that the device is effective for essential tremor that are most present in the forearm and the hand.
For other tremor locations (e.g. upper arm) or other tremor disorders (Parkinson’s/Dystonia/MS) are still in experimental phase.
Good to know: we always check your tremor before making an appointment. This avoids disappointment and unnecessary travel time.
Everybody can try out the orthosis for free for 1 hour at STIL’s office.
During your visit, we start with assessing your tremor. Then we help you with putting on the device, after which you can try different daily tasks. Like eating, drinking or writing.
If you are satisfied with the orthosis, you can purchase it immediately and bring it home.
You will then have a trial period of 14 days to figure out how the device can help you in daily tasks at home.
The STIL orthosis is not reimbursed by health insurance.
Although we are working on this, this could certainly take years.
